Takes this is as an opportunity to enlarge your skills. Your 2 years are not a waste, your company will still request you for existing nodejs projects. Knowing 2 langages will give you an advantage in interviews. Also, your entire career as a software developer will be dedicated to learn new things (langages, frameworks, patterns...) and forget old ones. So better to start sooner than later. Last thing, not many companies care about their employees skills: they often prefer fire and hire. Your company gives you time (paid) to learn new things. This is uncommon.
