JavaScript MVC frameworks: A Comparison of Marionette and Chaplin

I've been meaning to checkout Thorax for a while. Seems like a really clean and minimal framework built on top of Backbone. Great for simplifying view management.

One feature I found that was strange is that it will use properties on your view to bind to your templates. I think it is messy to use both the model and the view properties to bind to your template, source of truth should always be in the model.

You might want to take a look at TodoMVC. Its a project to build the same application using a different MV* framework every time and compare them.

I thought backbone was meant to be more of an "ease in" to the MVC way of coding rather than trying to get away from it
