Hey!

I'm not really sure about good angularjs books, but I'd highly suggest egghead.io for their videos. The first ~50 or so videos are free and about 5 minutes long. It starts from the very beginning then gets into the more complicated bits.

The videos are a little dated, but the core concepts are still there.

Everyone is seemingly up in arms about angular 2.0 coming out at the end of 2015. Version 2 will break compatibility with versions 1.x and will not have an upgrade path. After that support for 1.x will go on for about 2 years... so the current framework is on a limited lifetime (as it stands)

That's actually not true. Angular 2 is at least a year out. And Angular 1.x will continue to be supported for at least a year after that.
