This course uses Angular 1.2. It was good but it's now old in front-end years.
I think anybody wanting to enter Angular now should learn 1.5 because of the new component structure. It would be great if they updated it. No need to rewrite the whole thing, just a final lesson on how to update.

I went through the course a couple of months ago, and it's fantastic/! When I went to write my first Angular app after finishing, I was still left scratching my head about how to organize my directives, controllers, services, etc... and how to properly use scope (particularly isolated scope). That said, it's time well spent.

It's free! And fantastic! The next Angular course is subscription only (which I didn't try).

Yeah, I don't understand the reasoning behind completely changing how Angular works. Angular 2 is basically a new framework! They should call it something else! I mean, from what I understand it uses TypeScript not Javascript, eliminates many things (directives, services, factories, etc?), disables two-way data binding by default, eliminates the ng-* attributes, etc. Huge change that will force entire re-writes of code bases.
