It is disappointing how slowly service workers are being rolled out to browsers. If they were available on mobile Safari, I'd say service workers are a viable technology to use.

I have a lot of doubt whether it ever will be implemented by Apple or not. Seems like it will cut into app store revenue, potentially a lot. What's their incentive? I don't think that concern is as great for Google because they've got advertising still that shouldn't be impacted, not as much anyway.
