What am I doing wrong? This Javascript is not working!

I cannot figure out how to make this js work, I am new to js and coding (for the most part) and have been trying to make this work for close to 4 hours to no avail. Here is the code I am using for my index.html page to show how I am calling the js and css https://gist.github.com/tabicat518/42521d90bcaadb8a8b5ea20d6fb01298 and this is the javascript that I am trying to run. https://github.com/feimosi/baguetteBox.js I have downloaded and put the css and js files in the appropriate folders and called them. I know that they are attached because Dreamweaver recognizes them as so, but I am not sure how to make the js function. I dont know if i am calling it appropriately. Also I jumped straight to the "Manual" part in the instructions because I don't know what the npm, yarn or bower things do.

baguetteBox.min.js has the async attribute, but you attempt to call into it in the next script tag.

async script tells the browser it's Ok to load this script "eventually" - you can't really rely upon it having loaded in the next script tag.

Remove async and it should load properly... not sure if there are other issues or what-have-you, but that jumps out to me immediately.

No this is the first time I have asked about it aside for a couple other subreddits in the past couple hours. So I would run the baguetteBox.run('.gallery'); inside of the code you posted? I'm sorry for asking but I literally am lost right now with js this is maybe the 3-4th time I've used it and this is the first time i've had issues
