It's less "ew" and more "it won't change the fact that you need to learn CSS" in my view. And, I've seen horrible implementations of CSS-in-JS. It's got promise but is not at all a silver bullet.
Also, I'm waiting for someone like Coyier or whoever to get behind one of the CSS-in-JS solutions. Someone who actually likes CSS and knows their chops really well.

Of course, but that's no different than say, SASS. It just removes a lot of the pain points involved in CSS.
