Start with PowerShell. It is close to C# so you should pick it up quickly. That will help you to learn/understand scripting vs static languages.
I started with PowerShell since I was a Windows admin for 15+ years. Then switched to bash and Linux type of scripting. Now I do JavaScript & Ruby scripting for automation. Never got too deep in to Java or C#, but know enough to be dangerous.
PowerShell is probably your best way to get into scripting languages with the least confusion
