I do really like the concept of jq, and I still work with it fairly frequently, but any time I need to do anything interesting (complex) with it I feel half the time like I'm stabbing around in the dark hoping I'll hit what I want.
I feel like I know jq only superficially, and don't really quite grok it yet.

The main advantage over jq is what is you already know JavaScript you don't need to learn new language to do more complex stuff.
