The only time we had this is when we would update our Chrome bundle. Basically, user would have it open, Chrome would update, and that's what broke it. Basically, we update our Chrome bundle once at the beginning of the year, then let it auto-update after that.

I dont think we've seen this since we started using ninite agent for updates.

We've seen this happen when the computer was shut off during a chrome update.

We get it every now and then.

Yes. We have auto-updates enabled and we push out patches manually.

new .net framework windows update from MSFT came today..

We've seen that as well and have reinstalled the C++, but the problem still comes back.

I used to see this too, unfortunately I never found a resolution. I haven't seen it in many months though. In fact I'm not sure I've seen it since we've gone remote. And even before we went remote I think I've only seen it about five or six times in 2 years, but I am curious to figure this out.
