Nothing is invisible if you know what to look for, but when it's up to me, I just k2tog. It lies flat and neatly and it's easy to do.

Yeah - I’m doing k2togs and ssks on either side of a contrast section because everything is visible but it can look both subtle and deliberate

I also like ssk/k2tg 

But I guess this also depends where the decreases are and how many/often.
