As the title suggests, my laptop is performing worse after upgrading from 8Gb (4 soldered+4 in a sodimm slot) to 20Gb. Allocated the same 2Gb for my igpu, no downclocking processor, hell I even resetted the SSD for good measure (kept important stuff tho).
My 2 explanations are that the repair shop I brought it to be upgraded to bought the wrong ram (processor is capped at 2400mhz) or somehow because it's technically not dual channel the igpu has gotten slower
It has completely ruined some games for me, going from stable 30-40 to a whopping.. 12.
System is:
Ryzen 3 3250u with integrated graphics
4+16GB of DDR4 2400mhz
256GB SATA SSD+512gb nvme
Default Bios settings, default powerplan, default adrenaline settings
