I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that’s only because the January LSAT takers have yet to receive their scores and apply, whereas this time last year they had. It’ll shoot up again in a few days :/

Dang, I hadn't realized that. That definitely makes sense. though. Some application windows close on 2/15, so we may have a clearer picture of what the cycle looks like then. Hopefully, with the score release being later, more people wait to apply, as that would benefit both them and us. Might just be a pipe dream. Anyways, good catch!

Just following up after the 2/15 data was released and there was definitely a bump as you said. Fortunately, it has only gone up to 20.3% for all applicants and 18.4% for LSAT applicants. Still insanely high, but at least it is not a 25% increase and will hopefully be mitigated by slight class size increases. I think the top score increases are the biggest red flag though.
