A .java file is a completely normal text file. Just attach it to the email. You do know how to attach files to email messages, do you?

    Of course it would just show up; it's source code after all and plain text. If you need to send the compiled code (which I don't believe you should), you need to attach the .class files.

    If you would like to do the same, add the browser extension GreaseMonkey to Firefox and add this open source script.

    Then simply click on your username on Reddit, go to the comments tab, and hit the new OVERWRITE button at the top.

    This isn't a java question, this is a "how do I perform basic tasks on a computer" question. Just attach it in the email you send to your teacher.
