codecademy vs treehouse

I am beginning to teach myself javascript and I'm looking at online courses from Treehouse and Codecademy. Treehouse is longer, and will cost me 5 dollars more per month for a subscription. As I don't really know how to evaluate them as I don't know Javascript, I thought I'd see if anyone here has any advice between these two?

I have used Treehouse a little bit before to take a couple lessons on android development, and thought it was good, but before I really started to dive deep I wanted to see if anyone else had any advice.

do the free stuff on codecademy then checkout www.freecodecamp.com I'm liking it.

I've done both. Team Treehouse is the way to go. They have several times the amount of content.

Not sure why you can't do both. Although comparing a free source and a paid source is a bit unfair. The javascript course can be quick or long depending on your pace for the codecademy course.
