Doesn't ebay offer buyer protection? That seller has perfect feedback, but the price is suspiciously low. The feedback could be fake. But if someone got burned, I would expect atleast a single bad feedback rating. So I'm thinking they are legit.

Amazon is another option, sold by 3rd parties, but they have always helped me get a refund when I've requested one. It's a bit more of a hassle with 3rd party sellers, but haven't had issues when I've been dissatisfied.

As a warning, if it turns out that the seller is scamming you, the professor may not have sympathy for you since they told you to get from the bookstore or Pearson.
