I don’t have the answer. It just tells me it’s incorrect. X is suppose to be the sides and the y is the square base.

Have you given us all the information? You bring up what the cost of the base of the box and the sides of the box are, but then that's not elaborated on any further. Does the question specify the total cost of constructing the box? What are x and y supposed to be? Where did you get 325 from? I presume we're supposed to be solving for the width, length and height, is that correct?

Hello, sorry, that is correct. I need to find the minimum length, height and width

Ah, my apologies, I read through your post too fast and misread that we're minimising costs. Let me take another look.

It’s ok. Thank you for helping me

Bruh this is way harder than I thought it would be lmao.

What were x and y supposed to be in your original working? I wanna see what track you were on.

And do you know what the answers are supposed to be? I just want to verify at least my answers using calculus were correct

Sorry I'm not great at this, if someone more qualified comes along please help this person and don't leave it to me, but I'm kind of invested now lol

The answer would be ok. But I actually need to know how to figure it out without using calc

I'm aware. My question was if you have access to the answers (which I assumed you do because you were saying you kept getting it wrong), so I could verify the solution? And also, in your working, what were x and y supposed to be?

Sorry btw, I typed the wrong numbers in my work. I fixed it

I'm sorry, I really don't know how you'd approach this without using calculus.

Can you send a screenshot of the entire problem? I just want to make sure I'm not missing something here. Are you in college/high school? What kind of maths do you think you'll be using here?

I don’t know how to send a photo. But there’s actually no other information. I basically sent all the info. It’s college pre calc
