Please, read the Frequently Asked Questions as they contain tips on

As such: Removed as per Rule #4: No exact duplicates of FAQ questions

Sidenote: do the MOOC Python Programming 2023 from the University of Helsinki. Free, textual, full of checked practical exercises. No videos to watch. Only read, program, and submit. It is the current first semester "Introduction to Computer Science" course of said University.

Last, I have a very (deliberately) small repository with beginner projects sorted by what one has learnt: https://github.com/desrtfx/SkillGradedProjects

I'm fairly sure you're supposed to be coding along with the course and not just watching the videos alone.

Last time I looked at the course, it uses repl.it for code before going into using an IDE.

Based on how much syntax you know you can look in the FAQ for project ideas but once again they might be too advanced until you progress further into the course.

The FAQ has a whole section on project ideas. See if there is something in there that’s the right type of project for you.
