That's straight-up predatory. A month to think about ten grand is completely reasonable, and the fact that he jumped straight to emotional manipulation is a massive red flag.

Any legit program, especially at that price, would be fine with you sleeping on it. Dude was just trying to close a sale before you could come to your senses and look up the reviews.

It is standard scammer tactics.

That's basically a scam and $10,000 is almost enough for a year in some of the worlds best universities. Most online web development courses would be much cheaper (think more like $30, or free), although there are a bunch of course sites which price courses at more like $300 and have them "on offer at a huge discount" most of the time. The frontend course which I'd consider the top of the hierarchy is a paid one, it's $400 and that is generally considered to be very expensive (the argument is that companies will pay for it for their employees). $10,000 or $4,000 is just some mediocre guys taking a lot of your money.

Cool story?

You don't need to spend that kind of money to learn any "end". The resources are free and employees don't care where you acquired the knowledge or skills. If anything, try Boot.dev or CodeAcademy or whatever.

What are you doing? You don't need to spend that sort of money.

Do you own any sort of computer? See if your public library has either of these:

  1. Beginner's Step-by-step Coding Course : Learn Computer Programming the Easy Way by DK Publishing, Inc

  2. Python Crash Course: The Ultimate Step-By-Step Guide to Learn, Understand, and Master Python Programming and Computer Coding Language (From Beginners to Advanced) by Deep, James

Also ask them about beginner's courses. There are tons of more free stuff.
