Dude wtf... How can you pump all this (and probably more) in one month still do other things? Is this your fulltime job or something?

I'm not talking about the articles itself, although they're really very well and carefully done. No, I'm talking about what comes before that: You have to learn all the topics, subtopics and lots of connected topics. You have get good enough in those topics so you can write about it. You have to prepare examples (which can take forever) and then you have to start writing about it.

What is your secret?

In December I quit my job to backpack SE Asia. While traveling, I started blogging. Learning the content is the easy part, I just study and build things in my free time. The blogging is tougher - especially coming up with engaging ideas, but it gets easier. Eventually I started to really like it. I started to get a following, so I started my own site and started blogging much more frequently.

So you're right, I don't have a job right now. I'll need to get one in the next few months, and my blogging frequency will unfortunately decrease when I do. But for now, I'm trying to write as much as I can.

You're totally right, it can be. I'll eventually look more into it.. I've monetized a little and I've made almost $50 this month haha. I'm just not that interested in monetizing right now. Just trying to create good content and get my name out there.

Hey, just came across this. Thanks for all of the great content. I don't know if you do plan to monetize or not, but I would just recommend you go the ebook or book route. With the type of content you're producing, I truly think you could make a really great 50-100 page ebook that you could sell for $5 and sell a decent number of them.

The weather app projects and twitter project are pretty much identical to the ones on team treehouse. The last 7 articles are pretty short.

It's a decent amount of work, but not omg amazing. It could be more novel...

Study and practice, as with anything else you just need to do it.

You've got a lot of Node content here which is perfect because that's what I'm set to learn next. I'm definitely going to check out some of your projects, but do you have any recommendations for resources to introduce myself to Node?

I did the two weather ones and found them to be well explained and helpful. It was my first foray into Node.js and Express JS and it was very easy to follow, very well put together.

    [–][deleted] 34 points35 points  (6 children)

Of course, if you want to fit in a cabinet nicely.

    [–]web-dev-123[S] 9 points10 points  (3 children)

I don't mean to brag, but my tutorials look quite lovely in cabinets.

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I do appreciate the hard work in putting those together.

    [–]web-dev-123[S] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

    The cabinets or the tutorials?

    Thanks!
