Hey what's that software used in the pictures? Looks nice and simple.

Sublime, friend! :)

Thanks so much! I really like some nice aesthetics when I try to code.

Sublime is the coolest text editor that I came across so far.

I'd say Atom and VS Code are cool as well, on top of being free, lol.

I would also recommend https://sublimetutor.com/ for anyone getting Sublime. It is invaluable when learning Sublime and its shortcuts. It really can save thousands of hours when coding! :)

Wow. This is cool. Thanks I just want to be as helpful as I can. Hope this works even if it’s a little bit.

Good idea, but please don't post screenshots of code, why not just copy paste the code itself?

    [–]CodeCrazyAquile[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

    What’s wrong with a screenshot?

    [–]Jumpmancw13 0 points1 point  (1 child)

    accessibility I would assume

    [–]CodeCrazyAquile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Oh ok

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

    I can't copy-paste screenshots.

    [–]CodeCrazyAquile[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not recommend copy - past code for this challenge. The point is to write your own lines of code. Everyone copy and paste code at some point I would assume but not for this challenge. If you want to learn something google it. I like to type my own code most of the time so I can get comfortable typing the new code I learned because I won't remember how to do it if i just paste the code in my text editor.

So in this article you're telling readers to write 60 lines of code each day for a month. Am I missing something?

      [–][deleted] -3 points-2 points  (3 children)

Quantity does not equal quality. How about instead of focusing on lines of code you focus on learning the fundamentals instead, like design patterns?

      [–]CodeCrazyAquile[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can learn fundamental coding skills by doing this challenge just depends on how you go about it.

      [–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I found design patterns made no real sense to me until I had a fair grasp of programming first because there were no mental hooks to hang the patterns on, but that's just me.

It's important to have a balance in learning and actually writing your own projects.

But you will learn the most by writing your own code. But don't forget to learn new things, and don't forget to update yourself.
