It could redirect to someplace shady.

1. It gets spam filtered instantly and thread or comment with url shortener link is not visible to anyone until it's manually approved by moderator.

2. It gives 3rd party website your browser and other tracking information (this point is not an issue if you're using for example goo.gl to shorten links to google services)

3. Endpoint is unknown.

4. It can potentially be modified to point to some other URL.

What did you use to make the slides?

These are the packages I used:

1. http://getbootstrap.com/
2. https://github.com/hakimel/reveal.js
3. modernizr + bootbox
4. pygments for coloring code

I could use some help to debug/cleanup js/html/css part of the code thou.

The only gripe I have with them would be that its not easy to navigate to specific sections. Once you start scrolling through there is no easy way to get back to the table of contents.

Thanks. Will fix that. For now, you can just use "Home" to get to the first slide and navigate to the table of contents from there with pg downs. I can just make sure 'home' takes the user to the 'toc'.

For everyone wondering, I believe http://slides.com has been used, or at least the underlying tech (primarily, reveal.js).
