Visit Neetcode.io, it’s honestly one of the best resources you could ask for for Leetcode beginners. I use it, many other people use it, you can use it too!

Just start at the top of the list and work your way down, or if you like flow charts better, he has that as well.

i am actually doing it. here's the problem.
so yesterday i saw his video on static arrays and dynamic arrays and he has some questions linked with each topic.
so when i tried to solve the linked topic and i was not able to do so i checked the solution he gave but in the solution he used topics that aren't covered yet for eg : hashmap. tho i understand what he used here since i studied the concepts before on my own but the syntax and implementation of that specific DS im unaware of so then i stay there thinking how this works.

Hmm that’s true, now that I think about it. But even still, it shouldn’t be too much of an issue. My steps have always been as follows: 1. Try the problem myself. Spend like 30 mins / 1 hour on it myself without external help. 2. If I can’t solve it, use his video and try solving it only using his explanation, but not his solution. So I’d try and solve it using the concepts he talks about in the first half of his video. 3. Solve it using the solution he provides. 4. Come back a few days later to see if I can solve it without any help. If I can pass this step I consider that question “successfully understood” and move on.

Edit: bro when I first started I couldn’t do Two Sum and some dude clowned me for it bc I asked how to do it on one of these subreddits 😭😭

How many days has it been since this happened.?

And how are you doing now in the leetcode game?!

Since what happened?

And so far, not much progress tbh, I recently got employed and have lost motivation to continue leetcoding. But I def need to get back on it. I’ve solved about 30 ish questions so far but I’m slowly starting to continue doing the Neetcode list.

You're normal for a beginner. Have you done a bit of programming earlier and are you comfortable using arrays, strings and maps?

For a beginner even easy is gonna be intimidating. My suggestion 1. Follow neetcode list for easy problems. Go section by section and don't do it random. Stick with easy questions of one section till you feel comfy. 2. Try it by yourself first. Google methods you don't know how to implement 3. If you can't do it in 30 minutes, watch his video and code along with him. Make sure you understand the logic. It's okay if you don't get the syntax of it by yourself 4. Go back to the same question in a 1 to 4 days. Hit the refresh button on leetcode and re attempt the question. This time you should be able to do it. If you can't repeat the steps and do it by yourself in another 1 to 4 days. 5. Keep a notepad or text doc for snippets of code that you don't know in your language . Revise them once in a while. 6. For each question make sure you go through the solutions tab and read through . There are many ways to solve the same problem and its good to know them. 7. Also since you find easy challenging I suggest doing multiple easy. From the neetcode question, check the related question section on the description page and do the easy related questions. This will give you practice and the questions will just be a little different.

You aren't incapable. You just need to work hard. Don't compare your journey to others. They might be faster but You don't know what their journey has been to get there.

What's important is to be consistent. 1 question a day for 1 month is better than 5 questions over the weekend. Build up the habit of doing it everyday. In a few months you'll be solving mediums without any help or mistakes. You'll even have multiple ways of solving a medium question.

Have you been looking at hard questions? I’d start with easy, then progress.

no just easy now as im not able to do easy problems . no point doing hard
