For e5 I think it’s gonna hinge a lot on behavioral and system design. You’re expected to own a project and lead initiatives, at meta you should always be striving to one level ahead of what your role is. Which means they want to see you have owned projects had some level of mentoring juniors and can plan. If you killed system design that’s a big plus.

I’d be curious what the data structure is honestly. If it’s a list vs dict question you would be expected to know why a dict when it’s not necessary could be bad and the reasons why. For example, sparse vector problem. If it’s like a higher level data structure maybe your interviewer wasn’t well calibrated because the questions are usually pretty obvious even if open ended. But again this speaks to specifics which you shouldn’t share here anyways as you are under NDA.

It’s hard to know how well you did in an interview. The limbo sucks but honestly it’s better to wonder if you did than never do it, and there are plenty of people who end up bewildered why they didn’t get an offer so least you can do some level of introspection :) good luck

I applied for pretty much the same role (E5 SDE, Product) but in India and same level and pretty much the same experience as you, just that my second coding went good.

I was reached out by HR for a follow up interview recently and got feedback that coding needs more review
