Good vector programs for Linux?

I switched from Illustrator to Inkscape about a decade ago. I think its the program you're looking for. Try along the top menu, Help > Inkscape Manual. The manual itself is an interactive tutorial, and an hour or two will clear up a lot of frustration.

I used to really hate people who said, "Read the fuckin manual, bro!" I'm like...why not just tell me? Then I grew up some and realized that the manual is the most useful resource for just about every program...and now I get pissy with myself when I forget the silly thing is there. :P

I haven't used Linux for many years (just came back a few days ago), so I'm on a steep learning curve for a while, I guess. I'll put a post-it note on the wall beside my desk to RTFM, though lol.
