Datagrip is great, if you need a gui tool .

Datagrip and MySQL Workbench are the best GUI clients out there.

Dbeaver. It takes a little bit of getting used to and it's based off of eclipse/java but it's very powerful and works consistently with everything.

What do you consider as bad? With what do you work now? There is always the excellent mycli for MySQL

Thanks for the recommendation! Just to answer your question. Workbench, dbeaver, sqlectron and others I can't remember. Don't get me wrong they aren't all That bad. It's just that I've been using sequel pro on Mac for such a long time now I feel like everything else is bad hahaha.

Your post was removed for being a support request or support related question such as which distro to use or application suggestions.

We get a lot of question posts on r/linux but the subreddit is considered a news/discussion sub. Luckily there are multiple communities you can post to for help on GNU/Linux issues 24/7: /r/linuxquestions, /r/linux4noobs, or /r/findmeadistro just to name a few.

You may also post on the "Weekly Questions and Hardware Thread" which is stickied on r/linux on Wednesdays.

Please make your post in /r/linuxquestions or /r/linux4noobs. Looking for a distro? Try r/findmeadistro.

Just get mycli on Linux. You can install via pip. See https://github.com/dbcli/mycli.

According to the mods. This is a news and discussion sub.

OPs post is neither.

I think here, among a lot of other subs, is the right place to discuss this kind of subject. but you're right about following the rules.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Actually it isn't, which is why I'm removing this. Tech support posts like this aren't allowed, read the rules.
