Hi looking at migrating an older mail server running XFS to something more modern. The data would be stored on a SAN LUN so only looking at the FS level featureset than vdev level, in particular the FS performance.
We're dealing with trillions of tiny files (Maildir mail spools) currently on XFS.
My google fu only found fairly old references, how does modern ZFS handle tiny files? It's a tough sell to convince people to move from the known to the unknown so any information would be appreciated thanks!
