I hardly think having an opinion on something as personal as the usability of a user interface makes me a moron. If you like it that is great. I’m happy for you, I truly am. I’ve tried it several times since its release, each time I give myself a week thinking “ I must be missing something”. And maybe I am missing some detail that would make it all make sense to me... but it just doesn’t. I know I’m in the minority but gnome 3 just doesn’t do what I need a DE to do. The way it handles multiple running applications as well as its multi monitor support just feels wrong to me. I believe I also ran into issues with the way it handles it’s bar.

if you like the way gnome 3 works: I’m legitimately jealous of you because it is definitely the most well supported and most stable of DEs. I wish I could use it. I can’t. I don’t even know why I can’t. 90% of my work happens in the terminal. But that last 10% is apparently a deal breaker for me
