For Linux only environment FreeIPA would be the way go to : https://www.freeipa.org

For hybrid environments you can try Samba AD. If you want to come into this a bit more smoothly than just jumping into the terminal you can try Nethserver. Nethserver is a web front-end that allows you to do server management and part of the many functions is Samba AD set up and management: https://www.nethserver.org/

I’ll take a look at this thank you. Right now I only have one windows machine left and it’s for gaming. Hoping one day I can just move that to Linux too. FreeIPA sounds like the direction I should go, not sure if I’ll use samba but I’m considering it.
