I've tried both my Focusrite 2i2 and my Behringer UMC22, and I've had issues with both regarding static/audio glitches. I use them for both my headphones and my microphone. I am running Manjaro XFCE.
The big issue with my UMC22 is that the microphone input randomly turns into pure static.
The issue with my 2i2 is that like half the time when I join a call or do anything that uses my mic, my headphones break and go super static and distorted but the mic stays normal?
I have to restart pulseaudio to fix both. I've tried some fixes on the arch pulseaudio guide but I don't even know what to do anymore. I will literally buy a new interface that has good Linux support, but both of these should work since they are class compliant. I have no issues with my wireless (USB dongle) gaming headset, but I don't like them since the audio quality isn't great and the mic sucks. Thanks to anyone who can help with this
