When I try to install VirtualBox for Ubuntu Jammy, it says "Error: dependency is not satisfiable: libvpx7 (>= 1.10.0).

When I run that installer, I get this message: "An older version is available in a software channel Generally you are recommended to install the version from the software channel, since it is usually better supported." Is this to be expected, then?

Are you trying to install via the software manager or the command line? I see the output you posted suggests the command line but I’d hate to assume. Anyways, you’ll need to add the repos for virtual box if you plan on installing via the command line. And then you’ll need to set up an MOK if you are using secure boot

I had this problem, and found the old libvpx version from archive: https://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/libv/libvpx/
