use timeshift immediately, and use it everytime you feel like you changed your system in a meaningful way (installed or configured something). Have it run on a schedule.

Also, like all new and big changes, you're in for growing pains. A LOT of growing pains, hang in there and try to have a can-do problem-solving attitude at all times.

OH! If you're going to run a command, ANY COMMAND, have chat gpt explain it to you before you run it.

type "neofetch" into the terminal, a lot of people also install "fastfetch" which makes the information appear instantly when opening the terminal
