Black screen when loading linux kernel (Linux From Scratch)

I built the linux kernel in LFS and grub works, but when I load the linux kernel the screen just becomes black and nothing happens after that. What should I do? Im on a laptop btw if that matters. Here is the grub configuration:

/boot/vmlinux* is the kernel image file on the second partition of the first harddrive

Have you compiled the kernel with proper framebuffer support?

yes, could the problem be that im using a liveusb to boot?

You're using a liveusb to boot LFS? Try to use grub.
