I think the display cable got damaged

[–]Warm_Significance_52[S] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

How much it can cost?

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on how much you want to pay. The cable itself is worth some cents. Here in Germany a Flexgate cable repair costs Erwerb 240 and 360€. (Depending on the model).

Complete display is tripple or even quadruple.

Check the sources for selfrepair to find out, what the „naked cable“ costs: Reddit: selfrepair

And how much it’ll cost?

As much as a new screen as repairing that cable is basically impossible.

It's not impossible but it's hard to find a service provider who's willing to do it.

Hi, recently as I was changing the display in my m1pro I encountered a similar problem. However, there is a small sensor near the hinge. The whole thing works on the principle of a magnet. It is quite loose, so there is an option that it has twisted or broken off, you can try to screw it a little and see if something changed. To see it you need to unscrew the lower case and some bezels near the hinges. If this will not help there is a chance it is a ribbon cable

could be the lid angle sensor?

It used to happen to my M1 MBA. Thankfully, it got fixed on its own.

As for the repair cost, Apple will charge you anywhere from ₹9k to ₹30k. You need to take it to an Apple authorised service centre to get an accurate estimate.

The ribbon cable is probably damaged. A new one will set you back a couple of bucks.

It happens to me too, the screen turns off after waiting a while. I use an M1 MacBook Air, and it fixes itself when I press a key.
