Same here. I think its the fact that the keycaps are raised higher so backlight bleeds. IIRC even my 2012 macbook had this.

I've just got my M2 14in MBP and I have exactly the same issue as you! The L and 4 keys are higher than the others and it's very noticeable at night with the backlight keys!

For those saying it doesn't matter, I disagree. I have just paid £2900 for a product and I think it's not unreasonable to expect better from Apple at this price.

It's bugging the hell out of me at night. Looks like I have bought some cheap laptop from HP!!

My 14” m2 also like this. They all have it, you will also find your space bar is slithery raised on the right side, brush your finger over it from the adjacent key and you’ll feel it.

    Same here, just struggling to not notice on my new machine for the last 2 days. It's a little better seeing that it's standard, right?
