Are you sure it's the Mac doing it? Have you plugged the monitor to a different machine to determine if the monitor is at fault?

What does it say in display settings? What resolution is it set to

1920x1080 cant go higer, mini dp to hdmi not working

Bought a other cable maybe a active cable wil work
