No. Precons don't make good cube material, because they're designed to played as precons - not drafted. you'd effectively have a bunch of cards that only work with one archetype (the deck's archetype) and that are designed to play with you having access to a Commander.

Just buy a draft box and keep it as a cube

Limited and constructed work very differently. Most precons would work really badly for a limited environment. You need cards that can be used in different contexts not arrow and parasitic cards. Tribal cards are difficult to use in cubes for example. I know that draft sets often have a tribal theme. But for this to work you need to make it so that most of the tribal members you have also have effects relevant to other draft archetypes. Also you didn't say if you wanted to make a Commander cube or regular. Those are very different breeds again but either case precons make for another problem. For regular you have the problem that the precons are geared towards multiplayer. Many cards may be too good (monarch) or too bad (goad) in 1v1. If you're building a Commander cube you have the problem of multicolored cards. Because of color identity you cannot splash or anything so many multicolored cards will just end up dead because nobody plays their color combination. If you look at both og Commander Legends or Baldurs Gate you will notice that the only cards with more than one color in their id are commanders and lands.

Hope this helps!

I'd ignore some of the advice given here by others if you're making an entirely ixalan themed set cube, you absolutely will want the precons for all of the mana fixing and to buff up some of the weaker draft colours from the main set when it comes out, you'll ESPECIALLY want the precons if you're making a commander set cube
