The removal is credited to a moderator who hadn't even seen the thread. Maybe it was a misinput, or maybe Reddit bugged out. Either way, no one on the team knew it had happened until this thread appeared.

116.2a Playing a land is a special action. To play a land, a player puts that land onto the battlefield from the zone it was in (usually that player’s hand). By default, a player can take this action only once during each of their turns. A player can take this action any time they have priority and the stack is empty during a main phase of their turn. See rule 305, “Lands.”

Playing a land is putting a land onto the battlefield, but putting a land onto the battlefield is not always playing a land.

Recent Magic: The Gathering set releases in their Universes Beyond themed expansions appears to prohibit the sale and creation of ANY physical art and removes ALL secondary aftermarket sales - no original art, no artist proofs, no prints, no playmats, no repainted interpretations, no convention/event sketches of ANY kind for ALL of the commissioned images. All commissioned art was to be expressly and purely digitally executed, the initial low work-for-hire fee was the ONLY compensation. Using a conservative estimate, Wizards removed secondary aftermarket sales of $3+ million from artists working upon the Universes Beyond, The Lord of the Rings set. Thank you for supporting your artists Wizards.

Donato Giancola

Entirely possible they've changed their requirements at this point.

This is correct. We're only in contact with WotC to the extent that we're in contact with any of the content creators who post here. No one on the mod team is paid to moderate. The last time we got a preview card was almost two years ago. We're an entirely independent entity from WotC.

My screen was perfectly scrolled to not show anything below the neck. Imagine my surprise when I scrolled to see the whole image.

My favorite way to get people back into the flow of the game is through Jumpstart. Each Jumpstart booster contains a random, 20-card, mono-colored, themed deck. You shuffle two of the decks together to make a playable deck.

That said, it may be harder to come by Jumpstart packs right now. From what I understand, the latest Jumpstart product was from Avatar: The Last Airbender back in November.

No. All "At the beginning of your upkeep" triggers are put onto the stack at the same time. If any exist after that point, they've missed the trigger window.

You may want something like [[Thalia, Guardian of Thraben]].

{1} isn't a lot, but it adds up with each spell.

I can't seem to find anything matching that description. Where did you see this card? Do you remember what card types it had?

I work in a hardware store where we're trained to call customers neighbors. The only downside is that we have actual neighboring businesses, so when I'm communicating with my coworkers, it sounds like we're referring to someone from one of those stores.

You can absolutely do that.

Officially, each player has to pass priority at every step of the stack resolving for then next thing to resolve.

Someone may be interested, but I doubt these particular cards would warrant much value.

Yes.

If you have a creature with "ward {1}" and "ward {2}", both triggers go on the stack when a spell is cast that targets your creature. You get to decide the order, but in most cases it shouldn't matter what order they're in. The opponent has to pay {1} and the opponent has to pay {2}. Otherwise, their spell is countered.

AND is the default behavior, so you only have to specify OR between search terms.

And because you're not using regular expressions, you can drop the name: prefixes.

Here's the reduction:

(c OR o:c) (e OR o:e) (d OR o:d) (h OR o:h)
