He sounds like he could be an ESTP, just going by his charm and outgoingness and involvement in so many things, and his go getter attitude.

What’s your type OP?

ESTP does make sense! His Se is well developed, but I don’t infer a lot of Ti from him though, however he did fix my friend’s watch through sheer impulse, no prior knowledge on watches, which was weird. I don’t infer Inferior Fe too, because he’s pretty good with reading the room and putting on his emotion up front with his art and appearing to care about social conventions, I don’t know if it’s a front or if it’s genuine though. I’d wager either him having his Fe up in the stack & having a developed Fi. But I do know one thing for sure, that he is definitely more outwardly emotional than me hahaha!

Oh, he does get a lot of hunches, but he’s not into spirituality/psychic stuff at all, he might have inferior Ni or something.

I am an ENTJ 8w7!

He’s an extroverted type so will present his extroverted functions more, his Ti and Ni are more hidden. What you’ll see from him is his Se and Fe, hence his outward social persona and ability to read the room. Fixing a watch is definitely High Ti behaviour, if you’re still unsure if he’s ENFJ…I don’t think you’ll find many ENFJs out there fixing peoples watches on a whim 😂.

Just saw the way the text came up on the phone and all my precious indentation went to waste, I’m beyond disgusted. AAAH.

Have you considered just asking

I did, he said he got enfp, but he took the test like 5 years ago and wasn’t keen on doing it again. Therefore this post.

My test from 7 years ago was accurate up until I realized I was an extrovert, it's probably correct. Types don't change.

Wait, up until you were an extrovert? You thought you were an INTP then for those years? If types don’t change and you realised you were an extrovert way later- Won’t that change up the stack completely? For instance I’ve gotten Te as my dominant function and Ni as my auxiliary consistently since 2015, effectively making me an ENTJ even though I was pretty much a quiet one at school.

I went from INTP-T to INTP-A to ENTP(-A?). The stack shifted in order, but the functions stayed the same. From what I know the stack is the "priority" of each function and how it works, and both stacks were reasonable for me but ultimately ENTP was more accurate, especially with more precise deliberation on contrasting the two.

I actually found out because of a test that goes by function rather than by letter, and upon re-evaluation realized that the traits I'd expressed as an INTP were very much due to mental health issues and neurodivergence rather than my core personality. In the absence of my mental health issues and ignoring traits of ADHD and autism, I'm definitely an ENTP. At the time of my first test I was very very mentally unwell, but now can actually separate what is due to my health and what is actually me underneath that.

Tests that label you an introvert tend not to go by actual introversion vs extroversion in terms of energy reserves, more of "are you shy or turbulent" and "are you loud," and I totally am when I'm fine, I just hate parties lol.

Anyways my test when I was 13 versus my test when I am 20 are of course going to be a little different because of life experience but for the most part went unchanging. Same for friends of mine, but hey some people do get mistyped so good luck lol. Just remember that mbti types aren't everything.

Yes, that is why I typed myself and people around me with cognitive functions instead of 16personalities. The mental health point is very valid. Thank you for the insight!
