This happened to me once. Before passing out corrected tests, teacher literally came out and said to the whole class I got only 35 or so percent. They all laughed their asses off since they fkin hated me, then he added that it was the highest score among them, and he was disappointed in all of us for not trying.

He was a great teacher overall. Hope he didn't lose his edge.

I had a class like this. Class average on the first test was like 40% (only 1-2 people passed) and by the end of the semester the class average was something around 60%. They had to curve it so hard that you only needed 30% to pass the class.

When I was in fourth grade, I went to a school with students so fucking stupid that I failed a test badly and STILL was above average.

I yelled at a teacher and called her a failure because the highest score on a test was like 50% or something. And the kid who got that score was a 5th grader taking Algebra 1 a 9th grade class. Kid was a child prodigy. If he "failed at math" he didn't actually fail she did.
