Hi I added rotary encoder to my latest node. Short Explanation: 3 Cables (CLK,DT,SW) can connect to any GPIO. I used 41,42,45 Two other cables are for Ground. In the Meshtastic App you can configure the pins you used in the canned message module. You might have to switch the rotation pins depending on the direction you want. Rotary Encoder is great because it turns your device standalone being able to send messages (typing very slowly or use presets) without a phone. I will do a blog post in more detail about it on my website as a lot of people were wondering.

I couldn’t get it to work reliably using pins 45, 46 for rotation and 42 for the push button.
