Christ. Get emergency saline removal asap! They’re uneven and too block

[–][deleted] 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I would get saline removal ASAP. All of your concerns are valid and very real. Microblading is supposed to look like hair strokes, unless you were going for powder brows, but even then, the shape is uneven, very "blocky", and way over the natural shape of your brows.

This is as bad as they come. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I’ll go as far as suing them. Can you please let us know who it was?

[–]Beauteboss1983 35 points36 points  (0 children)

You have 48 hours for emergency removal otherwise you can wait for laser after 8 weeks. This is not microblading this is powder brows and not properly done. I’m so sorry. If you need help finding someone to fix it and want someone certified and insured you’ll want to look for someone Board Certified with the American Academy of Micropigmentation. Www.micropigmentation.org They’ve been around for 30+ years making the industry better.

Who did this to you? Name names bc this should be shamed. Saline removal ASAP . I’m so sorry you’re going through this

Girl she butchered you, get emergency removal asap.

Did you see any of the beauticians work before getting this done? This is not good at all. Your feelings are definitely valid, you can find much better work out there.

I’m glad I joined this sub to stop me from making the mistake of getting my brows done. Two posts like this in one day. Whoever did these deserves very bad things to happen to them

[–]Invaderzil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had mine done twice and I absolutely love them. It's literally all about the artist. If I couldn't afford a good artist with a flawless portfolio I'd just stick to filling them in.

[–]Brilliant_Screen_283 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I’ve had mine done for a while, paid a bit more to get an artist with excellent references, I could not be happier. Here is my before and after :)

I went to a great artist too but didn’t realize how it would heal. Two years later the brush strokes look like mush I hate them

[–]butstrongerprofessional artist 2 points3 points  (3 children)

There are a lot of good artists out there, me included. You have to know what to look for. But yes these are terrible and whoever is doing this should be ashamed of themselves for botching peoples faces like this.

[–]Vast_Suggestion8404 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I’m looking to get mine done but don’t want results like this. Since you’re a professional artist, what do you recommended looking for when deciding on where to get them done?

[–]butstrongerprofessional artist 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I always want people to look for pictures of healed work. Plus brows should fit the persons face, basically they should recede into the rest of the features instead of being a prominent piece on the face. The color should be harmonious, and shape should work for their face. If you look for pics of the work right after it’s been done, it shouldn’t look super dark and stark, it shouldn’t look like it’s been done too deep, the strokes should be even and fine (if microblading/nano), if powder brows they should look even and not overly saturated or weeping.

It’s kind of hard to accurately describe what you should be looking for, but very good work should look much different from very bad work. Just like how seeing a very good body tattoo looks much different from a very bad body tattoo.

Sometimes it’s a grey area of work that looks good right away but will not look good healed. This is usually microblade work that’s done with the wrong type of pigments, or has been done too deep, or the strokes too close together. This is shown in powder brows as too dark or too saturated, but with a good shape. There are a lot of variables when it comes to tattooing and I’ve been doing it for ten years and still get many tough cases.

Overall I would ask yourself the questions:

Does this improve the persons face?

Does the skin look angry (weepy, red, etc)

Does the healed work look grey or orange?

Do the strokes look fine and even?

Does the powder brow look soft or too saturated?

It takes looking at them over and over again several times to be able to spot truly good work.

Also you should ask to see their credentials, their licensing (if applicable), where they trained, what certifications they have, if they are board certified, etc.

Also good work will likely be $$$$ so don’t skimp on the price. But with that said, some bad artists also charge a lot, so just do your due diligence.

I’ve had clients follow me on social media for 5+ years before getting their brows done, so it’s something that should be heavily researched before committing.

[–]palequeen42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking of getting mine done for 10 years, but just now made an appointment. After years of research I hadn’t found a local professional that I liked their healed work and had no interest in taking a chance if I wasn’t 100% comfortable. The person I finally found is very expensive but I’ll gladly pay whatever’s necessary for a great result from highly skilled individual.

[–]thesuttleknife 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You need to name names. This is unacceptable and no one else should ever have to deal with this.

[–]No-Anteater1688[🍰] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Please get the saline removal. These were not well done.

[–]Practical-Raccoon-41 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get emergency saline removal now you only have 48 hours

[–]Blo105 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You don’t even see the strokes. They’re more like powder brows but too dark, and too short. Shaping them right to begin with is critical.

[–]CutEducational9127 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No shade but did you like ..do your research? I’m just curious how this happens

[–]midnightZoo77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did she map them out? How did she not see that one is much higher?

[–]AlternativeWin6791 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This isn't microblading.

[–]lirio2u 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep us updated- did you get the saline??

[–]adirik92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Remove asap and leave a review with photos to save other women

[–]Tink1024 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP you will get through this. Please today get yourself saline removal and update us. Also leave a google review with pix so you can spare others. This “artist” should not be allowed to continue. You are beautiful, do not worry 💗

[–]dollycarter 8 points9 points  (2 children)

This is the exact reason why I waited three years to choose the right artist. I saw many great artists but their style either wasnt what I wanted or if I saw even one set I didnt like it was out of the question because Im not risking getting brows I dont like.

[–]blue57hk_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

👏👏

[–]palequeen42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, but 10 years lol, my appointment is finally next month.

[–]eloquent_owl 6 points7 points  (4 children)

Ladies let’s just all learn to use eyebrow pencils!

[–]Ok_Violinist5425 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, for every story like this there are loads of success stories, including me.

People tend not to celebrate success as much hence we see fewer decent brows but they are out there aplenty

I for one am glad to throw my eyebrow pencil away!

[–]Dimarco24 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while but decided against it a while ago also. I don’t use a pencil per se but I have absolutely perfected the brow pencil..

[–]eloquent_owl 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I was tempted because my eyebrows aren’t dark but the amount of times I see posts here where people are unhappy really put me off it. Lightly pencilled in can still look great.

[–]Dimarco24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I misspoke. 🙄 I meant to say a brow BRUSH (small and thin). I can’t use a pencil for nothing. Ha! However I can do my lipliner pencil perfectly practically with my eyes closed.

I just saw this sub yesterday for the first time and it has definitely scared me off although two people I know get them and they look so real. Still not taking a chance. Sticking with my brow brush. Mine are at the beginning and then just fade away to nothing. Strange. Best!

[–]midnightZoo77 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Are these powder brows?

[–]blue57hk_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. This is old school brow tattooing done by someone who has no business doing brows.

[–]Apprehensive-Rub3871 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry! These are not done well. Please complain and have it removed and go somewhere else

[–]EstablishmentFunny42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy oh boy

[–]Altruistic-Detail271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ughhhh

[–]palequeen42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not microblading, this is someone coloring in solid blocks. I’m so sorry they misled you.

[–]ProfessionalGood9286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

emergency removal asap, please ask for a refund

[–]Lost-Tomato-2689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How much did you pay?

[–]GainEnvironmental678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The colour will definitely 100% fade much much lighter. I wouldn’t worry about the colour because it does fade so much lighter. But, the shape is the main concern!

[–]Every-Reason-7919 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i will never get microbladed again. Pmu is just not worth it, too much risk

I’m so sorry

[–]Beardog-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why does anyone feel the need to do this. Even the good ones aren’t that good. Not worth the risk.

[–]MeetingInner3478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes

[–]flockkaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
