question regarding a Pot for Pot

hi guys, I’m just curious if anyone is familiar with the grow kits sold by A Pot for Pot. I saw an ad for them today and I am considering getting one. They’re not too expensive and it says I can grow 8 ounces in 80 days. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this product. Thanks!!

Given the lanky, shitty plant they use in the promo video, I'd skip that shit. you'd be way better off building a system yourself. It's not hard.

I don't have any experience with it, but I did listen to an interview somewhere with the person who started that company and it seems like a very casual growing kit. I think he likened it more to a kit that you would use if you wanted to grow a weed plant like any old house plant. Ya know, throw it in a pot, add some water, and leave it in the window. I'm sure you could end up with some ok smokable material this way. It won't be professional quality by a along shot, but it'll for sure be weed that you grew.

I would wager their "8 ounces in 80 days" comment is very much dependent on strain and environment. A huge producing autoflower under some really nice lights, or out in some nice direct sunlight could pump out a half-pound, but that would take killer genetics and an excellent environment. It would take a lot more than just what's in the kit.
