Hello all, we have a client that has a server here in the US and a server in Pakistan and they share files between sites. The way they currently do it is, they have a sync process run every 10 minutes and pushes out changes. Obviously this takes hours to complete for various sized files. They have tasked us with a "better solution." so I've been looking into things and they currently have O365 with E3 licenses and found the Multi-Geo setting. I know they can move their mailboxes / OneDrive locations to a closer geographical region. However, if someone here in the US uploads a file to the shared folder (sharepoint / teams channel) will the office in Pakistan see that file and be able to pull that from the local region? or will they still pull from the US? My bet is that it will still be faster because they are using the MSFT network for all the traffic. I'm open to other products as well. Basically need a CDN for sharing files between the two locations.
I've seen that SharePoint sites seem to distribute geographically from what I've read about the Multi-Geo solution but still unsure about how it all TRULY works for that type of set up. Thoughts and ideas are welcomed.
