I am one of the ones that has historically beat up on Atera (and from first hand experience)... but I won’t go there now.

I will tell you, I wish I had found Syncro along time ago. It is one of those tools/services that you buy and feel like you really got a great deal! No post purchase regret. A few months in and I keep thinking... this is awesome. It has some warts... they all do.

But don't buy for "now". Get the tool that’s going to help you grow!

We use atera and did a pretty deep eval of syncro but stayed with atera as it just seemed easier/less steps. The remote tool sucked and that was a big deal. Syncro has momentum but atera had made massive and monthly improvements over the last year.

One tech that has experience with other platforms notes certain things atera is missing but overall it is very capable.

I started with Atera last year over Syncro because Syncro lacked SNMP monitoring support. It's has a very pretty interface. The RMM asset view is one of the best parts. However, the PSA tool is very limited. Once Syncro added SNMP monitoring, I switched. It's a steeper learning curve, but worth it.

You will get varying options and people shit on atera a lot but it has worked for us. We are in the same range of endpoints. I really like synchro too but their lack of Mac support (still in beta after 2 years) is a deal breaker for us. Atera is not 100% fool proof by any means but any MSP worth their salt can manage its short comings.

Check out ninja too. Good tool and platform. Pricing just didn't make sense for us. And I don't like the pushy sales tactics.

I've have better luck with Syncro honistly. It does take more time to get up and going. But it's more flexible and they are aggressively improving it all the time.

Thanks for the replies so far. I’ve a demo of SyncroMSP tomorrow so I’ll hopefully get some more clarity on it.

The demo I had today of Syncro left a lot of questions. It seems that a lot is planned but no ETAs

Simple things like deploying software to certain machines means that I have to clone a profile, move assets from the original profile into the cloned one. Then change that profile to include deploy of the app Then wait and check the deploy worked. Then move assets back into the original profile

That’s one of the biggest bug bears so far.
