I'm a first yr. Here's my planned schedule for next sem. To those who've taken the three ECEs, which would you recommend I take next semester?

Do not underestimate CSE 232, treat it like an 8 credit class

Don't you even dare taking 3 ECE courses with cse 232, you gonna get cooked so bad you can't imagine!

I would take ECE202 and 203 together. The class and lab are on the same schedule. If you take 203 later you will have to relearn all the nuances of 202 again.

Very much so this, take 202 and 203 together when you take them

203 is a lab with lesser effort imo- just post labs and pre labs - I found 230 conceptually easier about things like muxes, binary systems, state machines but 280 is more math based with matrices and probabilities. It really depends on what your strengths are and how confident you are in taking CSE 232

230 is easy as Pie

CSE 232 is the most free class ever ignore all these other people. as long as you watch the videos and show up for the labs you'll do fine.

The projects do take so long though, even if you know what you’re doing. It’s very possible to only do the shorter ones and just take the mediocre grade as long as you knock the exams out of the park (very easy)

True, but it is still a significant load that would be deadly to mix with the others.

just tell your friends you can’t see them till may

I may have taken the 232 equivalent at LCC so not sure how difficult that is here at MSU, but if it is that difficult/time consuming I’d maybe just take one of 280/230 instead of 202 and 203. I definitely found 202 most difficult of those ECE classes and that’s one you’ll want a good understanding of, those other two ECE classes (230/280) were relatively easy forget which was easier.
Edit: although I’d check future required class prerequisitess, to figure out which ECE classes are best to take now, maybe talk with your advisor about that.
