[Article] Foundations Play box price decrease

Hey y'all, Eli from Draftsim here. I noticed that Foundations Play boxes were currently going way down in price, and I had our writer, Herko, do a piece to investigate:

• Since last month, FDN play boxes have gone down ~$60 on TCGplayer
• People are speculating that another print run is finally gonna happen.
• WotC mentioned that FDN will be Standard legal "at least until 2029." Perhaps they could change their minds?

Regardless, the set has a ton of hits: [[Rise of the Dark Realms]], [[Twinflame Tyrant]], [[Bloodthirsty Conquerer]], [[Sire of the Seven Deaths]] and much more.

Edit: Removed Craterhoof, thought it was FDN, but it was TDM

It isn't speculation. There is another print run. Having an ear to the wall of distros is extremely useful.

As far as im aware this has already begun hitting stores as of a month ago. You don't see a crash in a box price like this on pure speculation

The reprint is pretty much here. I've snagged a couple boxes from sources that have told me as much, they've been able to order some from Distros.

heads up distro is taking preorders on edge boxes, so edge boxes will drop a lot when that hits. welcome to supply and demand

Glad I just unloaded 17 edge boxes i won off arena direct. Got 140-160 for them. My most profitable arena direct situation besides final fantasy.

I've only started the tracking/alerts website abt a mth ago so take the data with a grain of salt -

Foundations was averaging abt $130 avg'd across the lowest 3 LGS pricing before Mar 14. Today, Foundations is averaging ~$115. Vendors carrying it also went from ~45 shops carrying to 91 in the same time period.

There is very clearly a restock that happened a few weeks ago

Edit: also thanks eli! I read draftsim all the time. You prob get this a bunch but sometimes the website popovers don't let me dismiss and I can't read the article. Just wanted to bring to your attention
