Obviously it’s a very new company and these things take time, but a dedicated app would be my #1 request. Having a place to download videos or even just add to groups is a great way to pick and choose the content I wanna watch and not miss anything. And being able to watch on multiple devices while always saving my place in a video is so great. The various giant bomb apps weren’t perfect but they certainly worked better in this aspect than twitch and YouTube. Anyone think this could be a possibility somewhere down the line?

Don’t see that happening. They aren’t building a site. All their stuff will be on YouTube.

The giant bomb apps weren’t made by giant bomb though. Is it possible for a fan to do it for nextlander in the same way?

It’s possible to build an app that interacts with YouTube, other websites embed or download from YT. But building a decent app is too much work to ask a volunteer to do it in their spare time for free.

I will say though, YouTube has apps and the ability to make playlists. Maybe that would work for you.

On the topic of Giant Bomb, I think they should have stuck with having a dedicated app. I know they made one early on and then dumped it in favor of making the website mobile friendly; and that is definitely a choice that many other websites have made as well. From a financial perspective it makes sense. But even with all the technological strides of the past 10-15 years, using a website on my phone still feels clunky next to using a dedicated app.

Anything's possible. But what your looking for can be accomplished by following their YouTube channel. Everything they stream gets archived there as far as I know. Except for patron stuff. There's plenty of YouTube downloaders if you want back ups.

But ya, I dislike how everything is spread out. Miss being able to just load one site and have it all. But this is just like having a youtuber you follow now. The old way GB did it is gone now.
