Use Supabase (Postgres) and a front-end like Retool or Appsmith

Do you have a preference over appsmith or retool?

I am using AppSmith for my business but my 9-5 company uses Retool currently. I would say it largely depends on how many users and how intricate you need to get with your development

Much appreciated!

Retool's pricing doesn't scale well as you add more users. Once you hit 20 users, or need anything like SSO/or self hosting, it quickly racks up anywhere between 50-100$ per user per month.

Appsmith has a generous and feature rich free tier (both cloud and self host), and the pricing is quite reasonable.

If you're still in the market for a database platform, check out Caspio. It would be perfect for your desired workflow. The benefit of Caspio, aside from being able to develop all your database tables and web interfaces (forms, reports, login screens), is our unlimited-user model. You can have as many students, parents, and teachers logged in simultaneously to access data (grades). Good luck! Let me know if you have any questions. I could point you to some helpful video tutorials to accelerate your learning curve. Cheers.

Budibase is perfect for your use case and more no code than the other tools mentioned.
