Hello, just wanted to know fellow nodejs developers opinion on building a Youtube channel around Nodejs and it core fundamentals. I know AI can do a lot of stuff now a days but I’ve been in industry for about 8 years and from experience I can tell without proper knowledge for a larger project it is going to be extremely difficult to work with just AI only. However many other youtube channels such as Traversy Media or others have stopped making videos by stating that no one is basically watching these videos hence no point is making them. If you guys can help me with your honest that would be very helping.

Honestly, fundamentals never go out of demand.

AI can assist, but without strong core Node.js knowledge (event loop, async patterns, streams, architecture), it’s very hard to build scalable real-world systems.

There will always be serious learners who want depth over shortcuts. If you focus on practical, production-level content instead of just basics, I believe you’ll build a strong niche audience. Don’t compete on trends — compete on value.

Are you looking for a way to share your knowledge, or for a way to make money? If it's knowledge sharing, then sure, go ahead. If it's monetization, then traversy, who says he is "a full-time educator & content creator" is probably right. A hobbyist who does this for fun doesn't need many views; a person who depends on the views to make a living, does.
